David received his postgraduate training at the University of Edinburgh during a 3 year residency in veterinary ophthalmology. He obtained the RCVS Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology during that time and was subsequently appointed lecturer in Veterinary Ophthalmology. He stayed in that post for a year before returning to private practice. He is a current member of the BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Panel.

Simon qualified from Cambridge University in 1996 and joined Calder Vets in 2000.

Simon enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but has a special interest in ophthalmology. He gained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2006 and is recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology.

Simon enjoys the daily challenges that referral cases in ophthalmology bring.

Outside work Simon has two young boys and two cats to keep him on his toes!
